There's bound to be drama with a show like 90 Day F iancé. After all, couples have just 90 days to decide if they want to get married before the visas of the foreign half of the couple expire. That's a lot of pressure. While plenty of couples on the show have said "I do" (and are still married!), it wasn't without lots of drama. Here are the most intense moments in the history of the show.

When Russ lost his job.

Season 1 cast member Russ Mayfield met Paola Mayfield while he was on a work assignment in her native Colombia. The two got married and moved to Oklahoma, but Russ lost his job as a field engineer shortly after they got married, adding a serious layer of stress to their new union.

When Paola moved to Miami.

Paola and Russ were technically supposed to live in Oklahoma, but she moved to Miami to find more modeling gigs and to work as a personal trainer. Russ, meanwhile, stayed back in Oklahoma.

Russ eventually moved to Miami to be with his wife, but the two bickered over her wardrobe. Specifically, Russ wasn't happy that Paolo wore skimpy clothes during her modeling jobs. Eventually, though, the two worked it out.

Season 2 couple Yamir Castillo and Chelsea Macek met when she went to a concert of his Nicaraguan boy band Myla Vox. They fell in love, got engaged, and Yamir broke up his band to move to suburban Illinois with Chelsea.

Yamir wanted to move to Chicago to pursue more music opportunities, while Chelsea wanted them to continue to live in her parents' house for free. The couple ended up divorcing.

Mohamed Jbali and Danielle Mullins had some issues in season 2. They met in an online chat room and Mohamed moved to Ohio to be with Danielle after they got engaged. Mohamed said at the time that he had a job but...he didn't. Danielle wasn't exactly thrilled when she realized he was lying.

At one point, Mohamed found out that Danielle had a dicey financial history. Specifically, she'd written bad checks and used someone else's credit card fraudulently. Not long after the couple married, Mohamed left Danielle.

After seeing photos of Mohamed with a female friend, Danielle filed for an annulment, which, if granted, would result in Mohamed being deported. Her lawyer eventually convinced her to withdraw the filing and the couple divorced. "I felt used, so I filed for an annulment. That was my best chance to get him deported," she said on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? "But when he begged me to file for a divorce instead, I gave in so he could stay in America."

When Brett's mom refused to go to the wedding.

Season 2 couple Brett Otto and Daya De Arce met online. Daya, who is from the Philippines, found a job in the U.S., and the two got their own apartment. Brett and Daya got married in 2015, but Brett's mom refused to go. The couple now has a daughter together.

When Danny's dad objected to their marriage.

Danny Frishmuth and Amy Frishmuth, who is from South Africa, met in Australia on a Bible study trip. In season 2, Amy decided to move to America, but Danny's father wouldn't accept their love at first because Amy isn't Caucasian. He eventually came around, and the couple married in 2014.

When Mark bought Nikki a car.

At 58, Mark Shoemaker is decades older than Nikki Shoemaker, who was 19 when she appeared on season 3 of the show. The two met through an online dating service and Mark proposed soon after meeting Nikki. When she moved to be with him, Mark surprised her with a car that he told her was the same make and model as the car that he put a deposit on for his first wife. Nikki thought it was the exact same car and wasn't impressed.

Mark's daughter, Elise, made it pretty clear that she was uncomfortable with her dad's relationship—because she's a year older than Nikki. Things got weirder when Mark tried to give Nikki clothes that Elise didn't want anymore.

Season 3 couple Devar Walters and Melanie Bowers had some issues after he said that he wanted to send most of the money he earned back to his family in Jamaica. Melanie responded by saying she wanted to look into a prenup, and that didn't go over well.

Season 3 couple Fernando Verdini and Carolina Verdini lived with his parents, and it didn't go over well. Among other things, Fernando's mom told Carolina that all people from her native Colombia are cocaine addicts. Needless to say, the two didn't get along.

Carolina said that she found suspicious emails that Fernando exchanged with an ex-girlfriend. However, he said he didn't cheat. Eventually, they made up and the two are still married.

When Jorge moved Anfisa into a hotel.

Jorge Nava and Anfisa Nava had an interesting history, even before starring in season 4. They met after he contacted her on Facebook, and he took her on an expensive European vacation. But he balked when she wanted him to buy her a $10,000 handbag and they split, only to later reconcile. Anfisa, who is from Moscow, eventually joined Jorge in the U.S., but they lived in a hotel—and she wasn't impressed. (It was later revealed that Jorge's marijuana-trafficking history made it hard for him to rent an apartment.)

When Anfisa admitted she was with Jorge for his money.

At one point, Anfisa admitted that she was interested in having Jorge taking care of her financially, but also said that Jorge is mostly into her for her looks.

When Jorge wouldn't buy Anfisa a ring.

Jorge not buying his fiancée and engagement ring was a big issue for them. While Jorge promised Anfisa he'd buy a ring for her after they got married in a courthouse ceremony, they separated a few months later...and eventually reconciled.

When Anfisa keyed Jorge's car.

Jorge was understandably upset when Anfisa keyed the word "idiot" into his car. "She sent me a text saying she did something to my car," he said in the season 4 Tell All special. "I asked her what, and she didn't tell me. And as I'm inspecting it, she keyed 'idiot' into the driver's door." Anfisa later said she didn't regret it.

When Azan talked about Nicole's weight.

Azan Tefou and Nicole Nafziger first connected online, but didn't meet up in person until Nicole decided to take a five-week trip to Morocco to meet him during season 4. When they met at the airport, Azan said that Nicole is "big...a little bit." Nicole later said she would lose weight, but Azan became annoyed when he caught her hoarding sweets.

Even though Azan told Nicole that it's unacceptable in his culture for unmarried couples to show physical affection, Nicole kept trying to hug and kiss him. The result: He kept getting irritated, and Nicole felt rejected.
